Today’s catch:)

Jippy! Looove getting some new CDs:) And the discount I get at work is a
big plus. But can be quite dangerous for my wallet too, hehe. It’s a shame I
have to zip them into i-tunes files straight away; can’t wait to get my own
sound system! With really good speakers…
The cinema is calling
This easter semester I went to the movies and saw a film that made a huge impression on me. “ Le Scaphandre et le papillon” (“The diving bell and butterfly” in English), a French film by Julian Schnabel. It’s the true story of Elle editor Jean-Dominique Bauby who suffers a stroke and has to live with an almost totally paralyzed body; only his left eye isn’t paralyzed. (imdb.com) The first part of the film is shot from Bauby’s point of view, and starts with him waking up at the hospital and realizing that he is totally paralyzed. We share his thoughts and see the world through his eyes; an effect that almost makes the spectators feeling paralyzed themselves. The cinematography is beautifully done, and the actors are great. A must see film!
